Why MHRB?

Uncategorized / April 7, 2020

Mimosa Hostilis, also known as Mimosa Tenuiflora, Jurema, Tepezcohuite, is a member of the Mimosa genus, which has over 400 species. Mimosa Hostilis has beautiful spikes of fragrant white flowers and fern-like branches. It is valued for its root bark due to the high concentration of tannins and micronutrients.

Powdered MHRB is used in skin care products. MHRB contains 16 percent tannins, which act as an astringent. MHRB also contains ions of zinc, copper, iron, magnesium and manganese, which are important in cell regeneration and protection. Other uses are in the treatment of sun damage, anti-aging, psoriasis, acne, and burns.

Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark sometimes helps when all other options have been exhausted. The regenerative and anti-aging effects it has on the skin is enough for me haha. I was not happy about how fast wrinkles were setting in. Not only that, it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and soft to the touch. Even my callused hands have gotten 90% softer. It’s honestly amazing and I’m in love with the soap. Especially the non scented. It’s natural and earthy smelling. It gives me a really good feeling in the morning.

It has been amazing for my hair in shampoo and conditioner as well. I used to use an anti dandruff shampoo when I was a kid. I always used to get compliments on how soft and shiny my hair was. I’ve used men’s shampoos and they dry my hair out bad. Especially since it’s past my shoulders now. When it’s dry it feels really bad. So it was super important to me that my MHRB shampoo perform to the same level as my childhood favorite anti dandruff shampoo— but without all the chemicals and plastic bottle to end up in the ocean. So I was elated to find the mimosa hostilis shampoo and conditioner leaving my hair feeling soft, thick, healthy, and shiny. Seriously stoked about it haha.
